CPRs with ELA text-to-speech are available for students who use auditory presentation due a print disability that severely limits or prevents them from decoding text. This accommodation is not intended for use by students who have difficulty comprehending text; it is intended to allow students to decode text so they can access the assessment. For CMAS testing, students must be approved for the use of ELA auditory presentation through the CDE unique accommodation request process. During testing, ELA text-to-speech is only available to approved individual students if it is turned on by an Assessment Coordinator before students sign in to test.
For ELA, assistive technology CPRs are available through the PearsonAccessnext Training site. This enables a locked down environment that mimics secure testing to check assistive technology device and software compatibility.
